8 years in the making

This months ice breaker question was "What is your favorite Summer Activity?" Some Responses were: 

  • Baseball/Softball games

  • Traveling/going to the lake

  • Being outside in the sun

  • Tennis

  • Walking in the park with husband

  • Pedicures and wearing sandal's 

  • Camping or being at the pool

  • Mowing the lawn

    May 2023 is the League’s 8th anniversary.  The board gifted each attendee with a small floral arrangement. Miniature bottle with a dried flower and 8 miniature roses. Bottle filled with crushed shells to represent copper with miniature “diamonds” and Tourmaline chips. Lace glued to bottom of jar.

    Boils down to sending and receiving.

    More effective when its memorable.  

    Gave out a gift – “Message in a Bottle” photo bottle.  

    Praised the fellow Women of the Year applicants (Christina Adkison & Jaime Wilsey-Heckman) and gifted them a wireless turntable speaker.

Each member of the board gave a description of the office they hold, what activities they perform and what they’ve gotten out of being in that office.

  • Read the letter received from René Street congratulating Women of Magnitude on their 8th anniversary.

  • Scholarship Update – Cheryl  

    • 5 are complete and meets the minimum requirement for us to award a scholarship.

    • 2 not complete

    • 12 applicants started out the process
       

  • Top Ten Candidate

    • Cheryl Schmandt is our only member who qualifies to apply for this award. 

    • Vote for the Top 10 Candidate was held, there was no opposition.  

    • Nomination approved.  

  • Cardinal Crossroads Council Woman of the Year

    • Michelle Crone is the only member who qualifies for this time.  Those in attendance were asked to vote to approve her nomination.

      • There was no opposition and nomination was approved
