Hello, my ABWA Sisters!
 
The kids are heading back to school, the weather is changing day-by-day  and a new league year is upon us! September is a special time of year for ABWA as we celebrate another anniversary on the 22nd. 
 
ABWA was founded on September 22, 1949 – 74 years ago! During Ronald Reagan’s Presidential administration, he declared September 22 as ABW Day, a national recognition of business women in American enterprise, at home and throughout society. We make significant contributions in all areas of life, and it’s worth recognition!
 
We will celebrate this event with a special luncheon on 9/22 at the Rescue Mission downtown Fort Wayne – please watch for updates, plan to attend and bring guests!
 
Our monthly league meeting falls on the 12th, and we will convene in the 400 Club (this is also the case for our October meeting) where we will enjoy our sisterhood, networking, a workshop on self-defense and of course, lunch. Parking in the Silver Lot and the parking garage are still viable solutions, and we’ll have guides in place at Parkview Field to be certain you find us that day. It’s very close to the Event Center where we normally meet, but give yourself just a few extra minutes to arrive.
 
I’ll mark another trip around the sun on September 26.  I’m still a big fan of my birthday; this one is my 56th, and I’m so happy to be sharing this upcoming year with you all.
